![]() ![]() When booking for the most recent trip I was specifically looking for a suite with a separate bedroom and only found two offerings. This is a nice hotel but for the reason above I would pick a different place to stay if we were in the area again. We come out to the East Cleveland suburbs on occasion to visit friends and relatives and usually stay at any number of bland chains that claim to be "suite" hotels but are not anything close to it. I didn't mind the foot steps but it made us feel like we didn't have much privacy if we could hear the people around us. I soon realized that the wood floors allowed us to hear every step the people in the rooms around us took. I thought this was neat when we first got into the room. The floors in the rooms - at least the one we stayed in- are wooden. However, the noise is why I would not stay at this hotel again. Decor can be over looked through because it doesn't really make or break a hotel. I guess if I wanted that I would put it in my own home not expect it at a hotel. I just do not get the appeal of a mural of a dirty stirrup on the wall next to the bed. ![]() Not that decor is everything but I found this hotel to have an odd combination of modern/contemporary looking furniture and horse themed decorations. The hotel was clean and in a nice area it was a nice room and well stocked. You get both bathrooms, which is kind of cool. One room has the bed, the other room has the couch. Whatever.) The suite is two rooms with the door in between open. The second night, I was so graciously switched to a suite (for the same price as the standard room. There's a buffet on the weekend's, but it's more like a continental breakfast. It's a sliding piece of frosted glass with no lock. The manager went right over and asked him to turn it off after I called. Our neighbor had music blaring at 1:00 am. The standard room shares a paper thin door with the neighboring room. The first night we stayed in the standard room, which had a view of the other half of the hotel (not renovated and appeared to have a window with bullet holes and black garbage bags covering it). ![]() The renovations included new decor and that's about it. All of the hotel interior is nicely decorated, but it's just that. Driving up to this hotel, it's very clearly an old Comfort Inn or Days Inn with a new sign and some squares added to the front. This package should be renamed to the "Breakfast for Two Humans and Three Dog Treats Package". for $30 extra per night, I was given a small bag with 3 dog treats and breakfast for 2 people. I usually book a king room or suite, since we travel with a chihuahua and a 2 year old, but the standard room was the only one available. All the rooms were sold out except for one standard room with double beds. I booked this hotel based off of the photos on the website, which made it seem like a cute boutique hotel.
